Responsible Use Policy

Use Blurline for: recording mutual agreement, communicating boundaries and preferences, technical proof for both parties, transparency and accountability. Blurline is NOT for: legal advice, replacing communication, unilateral decisions, commercial transactions.

Blurline is built for mutual, respectful consent between adults. The goal is clarity and protection for both parties. Abuse undermines this goal and is NOT tolerated.

Strictly prohibited: coercion or intimidation, fraud or deception, harassment or stalking, involvement of minors (<16), non-consensual content, illegal activities, revenge porn or blackmail, identity fraud, automation/bots without permission.

Recommended usage: communicate clearly with the other party, set realistic boundaries, update consent when things change, use withdraw function when in doubt, keep your own copy of details (content stays private), respect the other party's boundaries.

Blurline requires 16+ age. We verify via: email/phone check, 2FA, biometric (Face ID/Touch ID). Upon suspicion of minors: immediate account suspend. Upon confirmation: permanent ban + report to authorities if needed.

Blurline cannot: read minds, understand context, guarantee legal validity, resolve conflicts, provide evidence in court (consult lawyer). It's a tool, not a solution for all problems.

Report abuse via abuse@blurline.nl. Include: consent ID (if known), description of situation, evidence (screenshots, timestamps), your relationship to the case. Anonymous reports possible but less effective.

Trust & Safety review: response within 24-48 hours, independent review team, decision within 5 business days. Possible outcomes: maintain (remains valid), mark contested (hear both sides), suspend account (upon violation), escalate to authorities (for criminal offenses).

All T&S decisions are logged as append-only event with: timestamp, decision, reason (generalized for privacy), reviewer ID (anonymous). Both parties receive notification of status change.

No retroactive deletion of events. Why: proof integrity, append-only principle, timeline preservation. What IS possible: change status (valid → contested), suspend account, add new events (withdraw, dispute). History always remains intact.

If disagreeing with T&S decision: appeal within 14 days via appeals@blurline.nl. Second review by senior team. Final decision within 10 business days. If continued disagreement: external mediation possible.

For suspected criminal offenses we cooperate with: police (court order required), Public Prosecution Service, data protection authorities. We provide minimal data: only what's legally required. Users are informed unless legally prohibited.
